Isuzu Ute Leading Customer Satisfaction
10 June 2021
With 2020 marking many milestones for Isuzu UTE Australia, the good news is only amplified with the results from the recent Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards, where the brand has not only taken out the 2020 Car Manufacturer of the Year Award, but has solidified their place as the 'Best of the Best'.
Validating Isuzu UTE's commitment to reliability and customer service, the latest Roy Morgan reports placed the brand as the leading automotive brand for customer satisfaction-achieving an overall Customer Satisfaction score of 94.9% across the 12 months. This not only places IUA as the leading automotive brand across the year, but declares it the winner of the 'Best of the Best' Award for 2020-achieving the highest customer satisfaction of all 40 winners.
As Australia's largest independent research company, Roy Morgan has over 75 years' experience in collecting objective and independent information from consumers and sets the standard for market research in Australia and around the world. It therefore comes as no surprise that their Customer Satisfaction Awards are held in high regards for brands all over the country.
"As the results declare, Isuzu UTE has satisfied customers on an impressive level in 2020 with the vehicle manufacturer achieving an average customer satisfaction rating of 94.9% and goes a step further by securing Roy Morgan's 'Best of the Best' title at the Annual Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards," said Chief Executive Officer of Roy Morgan, Michele Levine.
"This not only speak volumes about the reliability and durability of Isuzu vehicles but also about the support team that works day in and day out to ensure their drivers are satisfied with their owner experience," she said.
Collected by conducting interviews with consumers across Australia, the data within the latest report is used to determine the monthly and annual winners of the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards across a number of different categories. The winner for the full calendar year is the organisation that achieves the most months with a number one ranking in their category. This is made all the more satisfying as businesses cannot 'enter themselves' in the awards, and there is no fee to pay-simply put, if enough customers tell Roy Morgan they're satisfied, then that brand will be in the running.
Managing Director of Isuzu UTE Australia, Hiroyasu Sato said this recognition is an honour for the brand and will drive our commitment to paying special attention to customer feedback and delivering on promises made.
"Having just celebrated 200,000 unit sales since our arrival in Australia in 2008, Isuzu UTE Australia is honoured to have received another milestone complementing our continual drive for excellence within the Australian market," said Mr. Sato.
"The Isuzu UTE brand has experienced exceptional growth over the last 13 years and with it is our commitment to customer satisfaction, evident through our comprehensive 'Service Plus 6-7-7' care package and promise to providing our owners with complete peace of mind."
"This recent success is not only testament to how the Isuzu D-MAX Ute and MU-X SUV are popular amongst our Australian drivers, but to how highly we regard the importance of our customer satisfaction and how that is only matched by the endless efforts of our Dealer Network and continued commitment of the entire Isuzu UTE team," he said.
Isuzu UTE is currently the 11th best-selling automotive brand in Australia and just celebrated 200,000 unit sales-having seen unprecedented growth with the arrival of the third-generation Isuzu D-MAX Ute in 2020 and continued popularity of the MU-X SUV. D-Max Wins Drive Car Of The Year
29 April 2021
The Isuzu D-MAX X-TERRAIN has been crowned the 'Best Dual Cab Ute of 2021', after winning the coveted '2021 Drive Car of the Year - Dual Cab Ute' award for the first time.
Just months after its local debut in September 2020, the Isuzu D-MAX rose to the top of the segment ahead of the competition, relegating finalist rivals the Mazda BT-50 and Ford Ranger, to second and third respectively.
"The Isuzu D-MAX is the most technically advanced ute on sale in Australia today, with every available piece of safety technology fitted as standard across the range. Isuzu deserves kudos for that decision alone."
"Here's hoping other ute manufacturers take note. The era of restricting advanced safety to dearer models is well and truly over."
Overall, Drive awarded the Isuzu D-MAX X-TERRAIN as the 'Best Dual-Cab Ute of 2021' after thorough testing against its newest competition.
"The Isuzu D-MAX ticks the most boxes. It has an impressive list of advanced safety technology, a gutsy (yet under-stressed) engine, generous off-road ability, acceptable levels of comfort around town, and all in all an attractive package," said Joshua Dowling.
The annual DCOTY awards are regarded as one of Australia's top motoring accolades.
After countless back-to-back comparison tests through the year, the Drive team conducted a week of finalist retesting and further analysis to determine the best vehicle in each category, with a strong focus on what new-car buyers are looking for in each segment.
With close to 100 years of motoring journalism and road-testing experience between them, Drive's panel of judges assembled close to 100 vehicles across 20 categories to name Australia's 'Best Car of the Year', which the Isuzu D-MAX has won the 'Best Dual-Cab Ute' category.
"To win the '2021 Drive Car of the Year - Dual Cab Ute' award has been a long-time target for Isuzu UTE," said Isuzu UTE Australia Managing Director, Hiroyasu Sato.
"Since day one when we opened our first Dealership in 2008, we've always listened to the voices of motorists and the media to understand the unique needs of Australians, in order for us to provide the best vehicles here. And, each year we've closely followed the annual 'Drive Car of the Year' awards as a method of evaluating the competition and what customers value most within the hotly-contested dual-cab ute segment. We'd then use that to anaylse the competition, to predict trends and to continually-develop our product with the factory."
"We are finally realising our goal by winning this award, with the Isuzu D-MAX X-TERRAIN crowned the best [dual-cab] ute in Australia. It is truly an honour."
Chalking up its third major award since debut: 'Drive Car of the Year - Best Dual-Cab Ute', 'News Corp Australia's Ute of the Year' and 'West Australian Ute of the Year' ward, the third-generation Isuzu D-MAX's award-winning credentials have translated to showroom success, with buyers voting with their wallets.
As reported by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI), as of 31st March 2021, 12,958 examples of the third-generation D-MAX have been delivered to date, equating to a cumulative total of 150,071 D-MAX sold, since the first-generation D-MAX went on sale locally in November 2008.
